Megan Fox covers Jalouse April 2012. It’s a French magazine and the quotes are getting a lot of play today, even though the excerpts are poorly-translated to the extent that one hopes something’s lost in translation from English to French then back to English.
Getting the most attention, mean girl-sounding quotes from Fox which seem to be less about her looks than the looks of others she considers ”unattractive.” If one were to parse her comments… it could literally be a misquote, sure. She could be talking about her positive self-image, sure. But the specifics which appear to be given make her sound vapid and shallow, and as though she couldn’t trade her looks because she has nothing else to offer.
On photo shoots (note: these excerpts are edited a little from the original translation for readability): “I hate taking pictures. I never look at photos of myself, otherwise I’d want to change everything. I prefer not to look and just trust the photographer, who knows their job.”
On being judged by her good looks: “I do fine with my image, I cannot complain. I would not trade places with an unattractive girl.”
On her role in Friends with Kids: “I play Mary Jane. Adam Scott’s character thinks she is his soul mate. He has a baby, [and my character is] independent. He disapproves of her lifestyle.” – via Jalouse Magazine.
