Lily Allen clearly wants to stay out of the public eye, after retiring to start a failed fashion endeavor with her sister. However, her wedding day was a very public affair, which she didn’t seem to mind, even though one of her guests sold a wedding invitation to The Sun newspaper. And the news of her baby daughter’s birth leaked too.
Allen, who’s changed her married name and Twitter handle to Cooper, reportedly gave birth five-weeks ago. The story leaked to the Daily Mail, who note Allen’s mother and husband confirm the baby name as Ethel Mary Cooper. Yes, really. In the UK, only three children, including this one, were named Ethel. It’s an old-fashion, nearly defunct, traditional English name that originated in the 1800s, meaning “righteous” or “noble.”
