It’s been more than six months since Kristen Stewart was caught having an affair with a married director on a set where his wife played Stewart’s mother. The affair was exposed on the cover of Us Weekly Magazine who it’s reported received a tip from Liberty Ross after which a paparazzo followed the lovers and documented their very public affair.
In the subsequent months, Stewart’s behaviour has been infantalized, minimalized, and ameliorated and Robert Pattinson did most of the damage control once the cheating went public. They supported their movie together but have reportedly grown distant from one another with Pattinson withdrawing and Stewart “considering herself single”. Also, Ross filed for divorce from Rupert Sanders.
And now a new report claims that Stewart’s former paramour is still pursuing the actress.
Kristen Stewart may look like she’s in need of comforting, hobbling on crutches at the Oscars, but she’s making it clear that she doesn’t want any from Rupert Sanders!
Since Sander’s scorned wife, British model Liberty Ross confirmed her plan to divorce her cheating spouse, the Snow White and the Huntsman director has been reaching out to the Twilight beauty via text and email, a source [says].
However, the 22-year-old actress, whose own relationship with Robert Pattinson is up in the air while he’s filming in Australia, has ignored all of the filmmakers’ advances.
“Rupert’s reached out to Kristen, but she doesn’t want anything to do with him,” the source tells Radar. “He texted her a number of times after Liberty filed for divorce, however Kristen didn’t respond. In truth, she regrets ever getting involved with Rupert, because of how much it hurt Robert and the amount of public backlash she was subjected to.
“Kristen doesn’t really know what’s going on with her and Robert at the moment, and she’s been left in limbo. Ideally, she would like things to go back to how they once were, but that’s proving a lot more difficult than she imagined. But when it comes to Rupert, that ship has sailed,” the source reveals. – via Radar Online.
Other sources tell Hollywood Life, Ross is still reeling despite seeking a divorce and reportedly moving on with another man.
At the Chanel dinner at Madeo on Feb. 23, Liberty, 34, was reportedly overheard saying, “You have no idea what I’ve been through. It’s been horrible.”
A source says of Ross, “That girl’s extremely mature. She’s handled all this public tragedy in her life with grace and humility for the sake of her children. I toast to her. All she’s focused on right now are her children [Skyla and Tennyson] and her future. She’s spoken to Rupert by phone and the conversations were all business… trying to discuss the arrangements for the children. The good thing about Liberty is that she’s not upset anymore. She’s had time to get over the initial shock and awe of it when it was exposed last year and the divorce was the nail in the coffin.”
