According to multiple reports this week, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s relationship is as good as over and only Stewart still wants the damaged relationship to work.
Last month, the tabloids reported that Pattinson had been pulling away from the girlfriend who cheated on him last year. And estranged Stewart is starting to see herself as a single girl again. Subsequent reports seem to confirm the break. Moreover, it doesn’t look great that they haven’t acted like a couple since the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 press tour (leading some fans to dismiss the relationship as a publicity stunt).
Pattinson is filming The Rover in Australia and Stewart is spending time with friends in Los Angeles. They’ve been apart for nearly two months. And now that her friend, English singer Marcus Foster, has also left, Stewart is pining for company. “She is sad that Marcus has left LA, he makes her feel close to Rob and brings her a lot of comfort,” a source tells Hollywood Life. “I think he also reminds her of all the fun times she used to have with Rob and the whole music scene.” Adding, “Kristen has no immediate plans to visit Rob in Australia. The two of them do speak, but not as much as she would like to.”
According to In Touch Weekly, however, it’s more dire than that.
Sources tell In Touch that Rob is using his time away to reflect on his relationship with Kristen. “Rob doesn’t want her to visit,” a friend of the troubled couple tells the new issue of In Touch. “He felt like they needed space. He wants a break.”
But the Snow White and the Huntsman actress, who lost R.Patz once before after she cheated with her movie director, Rupert Sanders, just can’t let him go… and here’s the proof.
* She’s Wearing His Clothes: After they split last summer, lonely Kristen was spotted in one of Robert’s T-shirts. She was seen wearing the same shirt after the Feb. 26 accident that injured her foot, requiring crutches. Rob may be oceans away, but perhaps wearing his favorite duds helps Kristen feel close.
* She’s Hounding Him By Phone: “Kristen calls him nonstop in Australia,” says a friend of Rob’s— and that’s not going over well. “He knows she’s just checking up on him,” says another source, “because she’s crazy insecure.”
* She’s Pushing to Visit Him: “Even before he left to film in Australia, Rob told Kristen that he wanted them to spend the time apart,” says the source. “He felt like they needed space.” But Kristen feels differently. “She can’t let go,” says Rob’s pal.
“When they met, she was a loner,” says a source. “If they broke up, she would be very, very alone.” - via In Touch.
