Jessica Simpson was called “fat” the entirety of her pregnancy and advised to starve on merely 1,200 calories-per-day and then immediately lose the baby weight postpartum. Except, Simpson appeared to ignore the criticism while pregnant and gained the weight she felt she needed to carry her baby healthily. Then, seemingly reluctantly, Simpson went to work for the Weight Watchers deal.
There are conflicting reports about Simpson’s reticence about losing a reported “50 pounds” for Weight Watchers. Life & Style Magazine claimed that Simpson loathed being away from her baby and would “start crying” at the thought of working out. But now The Huffington Post’s Rob Shuter claims Simpson “loves” her “sexy” and “voluptuous” postpartum curves, which seems a little more likely, given that Simpson just shared a photo of her mammoth breasts on Twitter. “She has been working very hard on losing the baby weight, but don’t expect to see Jessica Daisy Duke thin again,” a friend of the actress tells me. “She wants to lose the pregnancy weight but loves her curves and is very confident with her sexy, voluptuous body. You don’t have to be super-skinny to be sexy!”
Jessica’s appearance has long been a topic of conversation, leading the star to lock down a $4 million deal from Weight Watchers. However, sources say Weight Watchers does not expect immediate results and loves that many women can relate to Jessica’s struggles.
“The focus is on healthy eating habits and not starving yourself, which is what Jessica is all about. She thinks actresses like Christina Hendricks from Mad Men are gorgeous and that’s the sort of body she would love to have,” says an insider who has worked with Simpson. “It’s all about bringing the bosom back for Jessica. She’s on a mission.”
