One store had a handmade (as opposed to corporate-issue) modesty shield at a grocery store in Tucson, Arizona comparable to the “Family Shield” used to protect homophobes from Elton John’s cover with husband David Furnish.

It’s blocking what was apparently determined to be a scandalous Elle cover featuring the very pregnant body of Jessica Simpson.
