Jessica Simpson was spot on, when she guessed her uterus would explode with all the excess amnio. Because her family checked into hospital with her only 90 minutes before a statement was released on her website confirming the birth.
The tabloids were right about the baby’s name. As reported by In Touch Weekly mid-March, the baby girl is called Maxwell; Maxi, for short. Maxwell Drew Johnson. Maxwell is new father Eric Johnson’s middle name, while Drew is matriarch Tina Simpson’s maiden name.
People and Us Weekly confirm the birth. And Simpson issued a statement on her website: “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!”
The baby weighed 9 lbs. 13 oz. at 21¾ inches long. “Mother and baby are doing just fine,” the source tells Us Weekly.
It’s not yet clear whether Simpson gave birth naturally or by Cesarean-section, the latter speculated in ITW.
