Burying the lede, Us Weekly Magazine claims Jessica Simpson had a Cesarean-section.
Simpson scheduled the birth, which explains how her entire family was able to arrive together at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and how Simpson delivered within what appeared to be minutes (it was about 90 minutes from arrival to the announcement of the birth, if memory serves). Moreover, In Touch Weekly’s April 19 cover exclusive was correct.
ITW was the only tabloid that correctly identified the baby’s name. And ITW was the only tabloid with accurate reports about the birth plan (although the cover was summarily dismissed, because it looked like a fabricated “birth exclusive” while Simpson was still pregnant).
And now Us Weekly claims Simpson is “excited” and “determined” to lose what she says is “60 pounds” weight gain, but ITW says it was really “80 pounds.” This is probably the beginning of the reported $3 million to $4 million Weight Watchers deal, for which Simpson will be paid to shed the pounds within a set amount of time.
The Us source says: ”As soon as Jessica heals from the C-section, she is extremely determined to get back in the gym and work out. She wants to show the world and is excited to do it. She’ll have to meet the weight-loss goals for the deal to go through. She hasn’t chosen a trainer yet. In fact, she hasn’t even thought about working out for a year. But if she wants this, she’ll need to work out a good five times a week.”
