Jessica Simpson Assumed Baby Weight Would Fall Off; Is “10 Pounds Away From Pre-Baby Size”

Jessica Simpson is only days away from Monday’s Weight Watchers reveal. At which time she’ll admit whether she lost the desired “50 lbs in five months” postpartum weight she assumed would go on its own.

Admitting she’s “constantly hungry” with a “big appetite,” Simpson says: “I didn’t realize [the weight] didn’t all come off with the baby. I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant and I wanted to enjoy it. I wanted to be happy and eat what I wanted. I’m not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiance and herself. My weight has always been something that people like to comment on. I’ve gotten used to it. It’ll start to get boring at some point, I hope.”

And she tells Us Weekly, ahead of the reveal, she’s nearly back to her original weight: “I’m 10 pounds away from my pre-baby size.” Asked about how she’s losing the weight, she explained: “I’m trying to do at least 14,000 steps a day.” Her trainer Harley Pasternak added: “Her waist is going in, and her thighs are getting smaller.”
