Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s relationship began during a nebulous time frame where it’s alleged there was emotional cheating on Theroux’s part while he was in a 14-year-relationship with live-in girlfrien Heidi Bivens. But this couple has been together, officially, for over a year now. And Theroux’s rep confirms the engagement with a statement to People.com indicating that People Magazine will use the exclusive for its cover: “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday,” says the rep, “receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”
Theroux proposed on Friday, August 10, the day before Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were incorectly rumoured to be getting married at their family home in France with guests including George Clooney. Since Theroux proposed, the timing is probably a coincidence and not Aniston trying to steal Jolie’s wedding thunder.
