There was mass-confusion this weekend as media outlets rushed to report on the delivery of Beyonce’s pillow. Outlets including TMZ.com initially transposed the baby name as Ivy Blue Carter, leading to mis-reporting of the same. E! Online were right on the money, somehow, with TMZ correcting itself in later reports. The pillow’s label says “Blue Ivy Carter.” Blue. Ivy. With the blue part rumoured to be some allusion of an alleged mistress of Jay-Z, Blu Cantrell.
Friend Gwyneth Paltrow was asked about the transposition on Twitter and replied: “It’s Blue Ivy Carter!” when asked WTF by a fan. This further rubbishes the obviously-untrue reports from last weekend that Beyonce gave birth to a pillow called Tiana May Carter.
