Emma Stone is still promoting The Amazing Spider-Man which is doing well at the box office despite early derision at the numerous and lackluster previews and spoilers and the general pointlessness of a movie made 10 years after the last for the sole purpose of holding on to the rights. But the movie’s release has softened some critics, who like it enough that they wish the first had never been made. Although some are, rightly, finding parts (like fight scenes) samey and repetitive so fresh off the 2002-7 movies.
