Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are still working to smooth things over as she prepares to file for divorce. Last week, Moore released a stern, oddly-worded, passive-aggressive statement blaming Kutcher for her marriage breakdown.
It had been reported, by multiple sources (seemingly independently of each other), that the Sara Leal affair ended their marriage. The couple reportedly had an open relationship with Moore enjoying the company of as many women as men. It was consensual and each was complicit in the others’ extramarital sex. Then Kutcher started having affairs without his wife’s knowledge… THAT’S why she left. Not the difference in “values” she claimed in her statement. She lost face, people found out. Us Weekly noted that Moore wanted to set a better example for her daughters too, once the seedier details started to leak.
Moore is probably preparing to file for divorce and this isn’t an attempt at saving the marriage. People’s sources already speculated that the meetings were to ease tension, ONLY to ease tension, even before they separated (and they split before their sixth wedding anniversary, if Leal is to be believed).
Following Moore’s stunning Thursday announcement that she and Kutcher will end their six-year marriage, the pair reunited at the Beverly Hills home of a pal over the weekend, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
Moore, 49, and Kutcher, 33, had been visiting the residence recently for counseling, explains the insider, adding, “it’s affiliated with Kabbalah, and some of the people who go there refer to it as the Kabbalah House.”
The Margin Call actress and Two and a Half Men star arrived separately, but after about an hour inside the house, they were spotted leaving together, entering separate cars. “They seemed very somber,” the source says.
Despite Moore’s long face, friends tell the new Us Weekly, out Monday, that her spirits have been lifted since deciding to leave Kutcher, who cheated on her with Sara Leal, 22, on their sixth wedding anniversary back in September.
“When I saw her in early November, she was confident,” the source says. “She said she’d gotten to a self-loathing and vain place, but it was going to change.”
The morning of her announcement, in fact, the star seemed cheerful at her local nail salon in Beverly Hills, according to a witness.
“Demi’s been telling friends that it gets easier every day,” an insider says. “She’s very optimistic.” – via Us Weekly.
The divorce didn’t make it onto Us Weekly’s cover, that went to some falsified Kardashian drama. This divorce did make People’s cover this week, with copy pasta’d information and a stock “sad” photo of Moore.
