Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married in a private ceremony in South Carolina this weekend.
The couple never really spoke at length about their engagement nor wedding plans (aside from Lively’s opining in Marie Clare June). And there were fabricated rumours on TMZ.com recently that the couple married. However, they really married this weekend in front of family and friends including Lively’s mother and sister who were spotted around town recently, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine who performed three songs at the reception, and, possibly, Christian Louboutin who was also in town according to people on Twitter. Sources have details but their reps are yet to confirm. This is Lively’s first marriage and Reynold’s second.
A source confirms to People that the couple tied the knot Sunday night at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., just outside of Charleston.
The reception took place in a white tent at the plantation on Sunday evening. Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine), a good friend of the Gossip Girl star, performed three songs live, and there was also a deejay.
People also confirmed that a cake was being driven down from Virginia for the event.
Lively’s mother and sister were also spotted in town, and a source told People that the two had dinner in Charleston with Bette Midler earlier in the weekend.

The couple, for the most part, managed to keep their plans under wraps until this weekend, when members of Lively’s family were spotted around Charleston.
Her close [friend], and favorite shoe designer, Christian Louboutin also happened to be in the Southern city. “Spotted: @LouboutinWorld in Charleston! Welcomes to the city!” a user by the name of @TheJoshRatliff wrote. (Lively, for her part, told Marie Claire in June that the couture she’s been exposed to in Hollywood has dramatically changed her wedding style plans. “What I planned before I got into the business has changed,” she shared. “Not I’m like, ‘Hmm, I wonder what shoes Christian [Louboutin] is going to make me. And which couture houses should I go to?”)
Reynolds and Lively have also traveled back and forth to Charleston several times this past year, adding to speculation that it might be a potential wedding spot. - via Us Weekly Magazine.
