Actress Anna Faris, 35, and actor husband Chris Pratt, 33, welcomed their first child together on Saturday.
Pratt jokingly confirmed on Twitter: ”It’s a boy! Thanks for all your kind words. In lieu of gifts we ask that you mouth kiss a stranger.”
Her rep issued a proper statement to People.com: “Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are happy to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Jack. He arrived earlier than expected and will be spending some time in the NICU. The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes and ask that you honor their privacy during this time.”
A source recently told Us Weekly: ”They planned for this baby and now seemed as good of a time as ever. They really will be the best parents.” Another source told the magazine: “Having a kid is a big deal to both of them; they didn’t take this lightly.”
The couple married in 2009. Faris announced her pregnancy in May, then revealed her baby bump at a movie premiere one day later. The baby was supposed to arrive in the fall.
