Andrew Garfield covers i-D Magazine Summer 2012 issue, promoting a movie about which people are determined to forget with its marketing sandwiched in between The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.
This cover marks a blurry middle to the inconsistent promotional trail, with more attention paid to the real life relationship of leads Garfield and on/off-screen girlfriend Emma Stone.
This is a preview of the cover, for which Garfield says he’s always dreamed of such a role: “I see acting as magic. When I can’t see what an actor is doing, and they’re just taking me somewhere, it’s sorcery.”
Garfield continues: “I had a moment where I was like f**k. I’m about to step into a character that’s going to change my whole life. A character that helped me through so many times of my own. With Spider-Man, it’s like a dream. It was always a dream of mine.”
