Although no more photos of Hannigan herself because, apparently, the actress is still working on her postpartum body. And she’s struggling with the unrealistic expectations of being a Hollywood mother. She’s not back to her pre-baby weight after one month, about which fans have been supportive on Twitter saying things like “[you're] setting a good example.” But the pressure’s still there. Jessica Simpson was ridiculed and literally called “fat” and instructed to starve on 1,200 calories per day her entire pregnancy and (again) postpartum as she exercised several times a week to earn $4 million from weight watchers. Bryce Dallas Howard gained a noticable amount of baby weight for which she was mocked as “fat” on sites like TMZ.com (TMZ also called Simpson fat several times). And Jenna Fischer was perturbed enough to twice bemoan the pressure to be slim.
And now Hannigan is repeating the sentiment that she cannot healthily slim to the extent the media requires. “I think by Hollywood standards I’m supposed to be in bikini shape now that my baby is 4 weeks old,” Hannigan tweeted. “My workout goal: Food drops in lap, not on belly. I still haven’t lost all the weight from my first daughter. Oh well.”
