Alec Baldwin Covers Vanity Fair August 2012: Talks About Marriage

Alec Baldwin covers Vanity Fair Magazine August 2012 with whom he talks about meeting his now-wife Hilaria Thomas and conceding to marriage because the (much younger yoga instructor) is a catch.

In addition, there’s a backslide into the wanton violence to which we’ve become accustomed. Moreover, the interview’s full of pontification about mutilating and murdering TMZ’s Harvey Levin for leaking a voicemail in which Baldwin is verbally-abusive to his daughter. Because of course that’s a completely reasonable response rather than acquiescing defeat.

On his now-wife: “I thought, I’m probably never going to meet somebody like this again, and so I decided I would get married,” Alec Baldwin, newly hitched (as of this past weekend) to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, tells Vanity Fair national editor Todd S. Purdum. “And I am getting married, which is kind of mind-blowing to me.”

On politics: “I think I do want to go into politics. I really, really do and I don’t know if I will. You’ve got to put up with all this s**t. If I want to run, run for what? You have to stop and ask a lot of whys. Run for the glory? Run to complete some missing piece of myself? I can keep doing what I’m doing for a living now and be perfectly happy.”

On his loathing of the media: “You know, Hollywood does draw some very strange characters, and then the power of Hollywood and what they can do with it becomes like a blood sport to them.’ Then he returned to the frustrations and injustices of his child-custody case. He outlined vivid fantasies of the gruesome ways in which he might have murdered his wife’s lawyer (‘with a baseball bat’) or Harvey Levin, the TMZ producer who posted the embarrassing voice mail Baldwin left for his daughter: ‘I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes.” - via Vanity Fair Magazine.
